Books of Wonder says of the event:
We will host five talented authors of teen fiction as each presents her newest novel.
Ally Condie will introduce Matched, a novel set in a dystopian future where everything is decided by the Officials – where you work, when you die, even who you love – and which finds Cassia making the difficult choice between marrying her “match” or breaking away from the society and pursuing a new boy who she thinks she might love.
Andrea Cremer will share Nightshade, the story of Calla, a young female werewolf, as she struggles with her feelings for a human boy and must decide if abandoning the world she’s always known is worth pursuing love.
Kirsten Miller will introduce The Eternal Ones, a fantasy which follows Haven as she discovers her previous incarnations and struggles to avoid repeating her deadly past.
Beth Revis will delight us with Across the Universe which finds Amy surviving a murder attempt as she is unexpectedly awoken from her cryogenic slumber where she is trapped on a spaceship in transit to a new planet and must discover the murderer before he or she strikes again.
Brenna Yovanoff will entertain us with The Replacement, the story of Mackie, a changeling who replaced a stolen child sixteen years ago, as he reluctantly goes back into his underground world to save his friend’s little sister from being replaced.
This event is free and open to all. Please note that you are welcome to bring one book from home to be signed for each book you purchase on the day of the event. If you have any questions, call (212) 989-3270.
