J.C. Martin’s “Race to 200 Blog Contest” Now Has a Guest Judge: ME!

I’m *so* excited to announce that I will be guest judging on J.C. Martin’s awesome Race to 200 Blog Contest!

To celebrate her breaking the 150 followers milestone, J.C. is rewarding her loyal readers with a fun contest and the chance to win prizes.

J.C. is a rabid writer, bookworm, kung fu fighter, teacher, gourmand, dog owner, and fabulous blogger!

The rules for the contest are simple:

1. Follow J.C.’s blog.
2. Write a story/excerpt (no more than 300 words long) about a race of some sort. It could be an actual race. Or a race for survival. Even a race against time. Be creative!
3. Between Friday March 4th and Sunday March 6th (this hopefully avoids any confusion with time zone differences), post your entries on your blogs. We will go round and read every entry, so please be patient with us!
4. On Friday March 11th, we will announce our five (5) favorite entries. They will be put to a public vote. Voting ends Monday March 14th. We will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place choices, based on number of votes.
5. Winners will be announced on Tuesday March 15th!

The winner gets first pick from the following suitably themed books (plus the knowledge that J.C. and I think you’re an awesome writer!):

1. THE RUNNING MAN by Stephen King
2. FORREST GUMP by Winston Groom
3. AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS by Jules Verne

To make things interesting, J.C. will be generously giving out two additional random mystery prizes if she reaches the 200 mark before Friday March 4th!

*To sign up, go here and enter your information in the linky at the bottom of the page!*

Be sure to visit J.C.’s blog, J.C. Martin, Fighter, Writer, and you can also follow her on Facebook and Twitter!

I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!
