About

My name is Genna Sarnak and I’m a 30-something-year old librarian living in New York City. Currently a middle school librarian, I have been writing and reading avidly since the 3rd grade. This blog has been a long time coming, somewhere in my subconscious for ages, perhaps, but a seed was there nonetheless.

At its core, this blog aims to discuss my life as a librarian for young adults, I hope to review books, talk about writing and the creative process, as well as host book giveaways, and interview authors, to name a few. I will try to be as helpful, honest, and unbiased as possible, but I am no expert myself. I’m simply an educator with a passion for words hoping to share her thoughts, experiences, and ideas.

As the blog is a work in progress, please let me know if you run into any dead links or problems.

Oh, and formally, my writing has been published in a number of small anthologies and journals, including The Apprentice Writer, Chantarelle’s Notebook, Baby Clam Press, Up and Under: the QND Review, and TeenInk. Please email me with any questions or with feedback!

Happy reading (and writing)!

Hi Genna — wow — I’m incredibly impressed with your blog so far (congrats on making it happen after thinking about it for so long!)! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the writing process and reading your reviews (perhaps I’ll even read along with you once in a while now that you’ve posted your book list). Happy reading & keep blogging — your fan Ilana

  2. a beautiful introduction indeed…

  3. Oh, congrats on the guest post that was Freshly Pressed…don’t you love Word Press?

I vote for that job, too; the job that allows us to read, read, read…and pay the bills.

I just signed up to subscribe to your blog. I have a few Word Press blogs, too…twelve, actually. I know, kind of embarrassing.

I have two Blogger sites, also, but I prefer WP.

  4. Thanks for the Twitter follow – it’s great to meet you!
